Part 1: IntroductionsFull Name: Mariah Felty I go by: Ms Felty, Felty, Feltz Birthday: April 15 What I do for fun: Watch movies, travel, go to see MUSICALS! Short-term goal: By the end of the first five weeks, my goal is to have all students writing good, succinct thesis statements without a graphic organizer or sentence starter. Medium-term goal: By the end of the semester, my goal is to have all students writing full DBQs in double the time alloted during the AP test. Long-term goal: By the end of the year, my goal is to not die after teaching three separate classes for the first time in my life. Life goal: Before I die, my goal is to live in another country for a whole year. A challenge that I have had to overcome in my past: my first year teaching on the Zuni Indian Reservation - my year without internet, family, or friends. A challenge that I see for myself in the future: teaching three wildly different classes at the same time. Things that make me angry, sad, or upset: racism, sexism, laziness, lying. Things that make me laugh, happy, or enthusiastic: good jokes, Star Wars, effective collaboration, when YOU "get it" What animal represents me and why?: a kangaroo because I too am cute and aggressive. Something about me that you think I should know: I am eternally tired and I hate explaining instructions more than once. What I hope to get out of AP: a challenge that I will remember for my whole life. BONUS: My favorite thing to listen to is Spotify's 70s radio.
